Which Otter.ai plan should you choose?

Start with Basic if you are not sure. The 300-minute allowance gives you several normal meetings, and you will know quickly whether the live transcript helps or distracts you.

In a two-person discussion with decent microphones, Otter produced a transcript that needed light cleanup rather than a rewrite. The summary captured the broad decision and most action items. It missed one soft commitment because nobody used a clear phrase like "I will own that," which is common for AI meeting tools.

In a group segment with interruptions, speaker labeling got less reliable. That is not a dealbreaker, but it means teams should not treat transcripts as legal minutes. The best workflow was to let Otter create the first pass, then have the meeting owner spend five minutes confirming owners and dates.
